# Share file as post

If you've uploaded a file to a folder and want to make sure others see it, you can share the file as a post directly from the folder. When you do, a post is created and users in the workspace are automatically notified.

Click the `Menu-icon`  to the right of the file name.&#x20;

Select the `Share as post` menu option.

A dialog will appear where you can write your post message (optional).

Click the `Share` button to create the post. &#x20;
